Senior Production Core Logger
Tamarack Geological Services is staffing a Senior Production Core Logger for an active mine development and exploration program.
This is a hands-on field role supporting high-volume production and exploration core logging, sample preparation, QA/QC, core shed operations, and ongoing geological programs. The successful candidate should have significant core logging experience and be comfortable working independently in an active mine-site environment.

What You’ll Do
• Conduct detailed geological and geotechnical logging of diamond drill core
• Log high volumes of production and exploration drill core
• Record detailed lithology, alteration, mineralization, and structural observations
• Record geotechnical information including recovery and RQD as required
• Work through existing core logging backlog and keep up with ongoing production requirements
• Prepare, move, wash, photograph, and organize drill core as needed
• Perform QA/QC insertion, sample preparation, sample tracking, and assay shipment coordination
• Maintain sample inventory and proper core storage procedures
• Maintain core shed organization and assist with pallet movement as needed
• Upload and organize logging data, scanning, digitization, and database records
• Work with project geologists and technicians to support daily logging and sampling requirements
• Assist with geological data compilation, interpretation, and modeling as needed
• Identify and communicate issues with core, samples, or geological data
• Follow all mine safety and environmental procedures

What We’re Looking For
Required
• Significant experience with diamond drill core logging in a mining or exploration environment
• Experience logging high volumes of production and/or exploration drill core
• Strong understanding of lithology, alteration, mineralization, and structural geology
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to maintain a consistent production rate while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Experience with digital geological logging and database systems
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work safely in an active mine-site environment
Preferred
• Production geology or mine-site experience
• Experience with geotechnical core logging
• acQuire software experience
• Leapfrog familiarity
• Experience with geological modeling and interpretation
• Previous contract or consulting experience
• Experience working on mine startup or production ramp-up programs

Schedule & Travel
The schedule is capped at 7 days on / 7 days off. The site does not allow more than 7 consecutive days of work without a required fatigue day.
FIFO is not available for this position. Travel expenses associated with flying to and from site will not be reimbursed by the client or Tamarack.

Geotech/Junior Geologist
Tamarack Geological Services is staffing a Geotech/Junior Geologist for an active mine drill program in Central Nevada.
This is a hands-on field role supporting geoteching, core preparation, sample management, QA/QC, core shed operations, and ongoing geological programs. The successful candidate will work alongside core logging and mine geologists and assist in all functions related to the contract objectives.
Location: Central Nevada
Start: 2026 (Flexible)
Type: Contract / Wage DOE

What You’ll Do
• Load, wash, photograph and tech drill core for preparation of logging
• Lay out, cut, and package samples, ensuring proper QA/QC protocols are followed
• Properly label, store, and transport core and core samples, maintaining accurate inventory
• Maintain cleanliness and order of core shed
• Work alongside core logging and mine Geologists
• Assist in all functions related to the contract objectives
• Report to manager with daily check-ins with the production team
• Report any issues promptly
• Perform all duties following mine safety and environmental procedures

What We’re Looking For
Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology
• No prior experience required
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Completion of MSHA 24hr Certification (Reimbursed)
• Must be at least 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Valid driver’s license required

The anticipated start date is 2026 (Flexible).
The Junior Geologist will be working alongside core logging and mine Geologists and assist in all functions related to the contract objectives.
